A list of Croatian anti-Turkish writings 1400-1600
Starting from an article prepared for a commented bibliography (Jovanović, Neven. 'Croatian anti-Turkish writings during the Renaissance'. Christian-Muslim Relations: A Bibliographical History, vol. 7: Central and Eastern Europe, Asia, Africa and South America (1500–1600), ed. David Thomas, and John Chesworth. Leiden: Brill. 2015. Google Books Preview), we used data in the CroALaBib database to compile a larger list of Croatian anti-Turkish writings.
The task opens interesting theoretical questions, but the corpus turns out to be considerably larger than was expected.
As of January, 2016, the corpus of Croatian anti-Turkish writings comprises 138 texts written in Croatian, Latin, or Italian (for the CMR article some 70 texts were identified).
The working bibliography can be consulted as a Google Spreadsheet, displayed below.
